matchesSport Lived has affiliations with many clubs in Brisbane and have places reserved at clubs for cricketers attending the academy. Each player attending the academy is assigned to a club in Brisbane where they attend mid week training sessions and have the opportunity to play matches for their club at weekends.
Playing for a local club enables academy participants to put their coaching into practice in weekly competitive matches. Playing and training with a club also enables participants to integrate into the local community, meet new people and make new friends. Most cricket clubs in Australia have between 4 and 10 senior men’s teams so there is plenty of fun to be had after training and matches! A number of the cricket clubs we have affiliations with in Brisbane have state and international players such as Michael Kasprowicz, Martin Love, Craig Philipson and Nathan Reardon. Having the opportunity to play and train alongside individuals is fantastic for any person’s cricketing development. In addition to playing club matches, an academy team have also played games against local schools, U21 club sides and youth team state squads. |
