Testimonials
"Coming away to play hockey was the best experience of my life. I have met some incredible people and seen some amazing sights and I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way"
Craig McKee, Hockey in Sydney 2007
“Thanks for the opportunity to go to New Zealand and play rugby, without Sport Lived I would have missed out on a lot!”
Sam Cosslett, Rugby in Christchurch, 2007
“I would just like to say thank you to Sport Lived for organising a fantastic cricket coaching programme in Melbourne. Pre-departure, the UK team were always available to answer questions and give great advice. From my arrival at the airport, Matthew Pell, my mentor, couldn't have done enough to make sure we had an awesome experience. The overall programme was 'sweet as!' and for everyone at Sport Lived, nothing was too much trouble."
Tom Parfett
"Dear Mr Hadfield,
I just wanted to let you know what an amazing time I am currently having in Australia during my gap year. I applied through a company called Sport Lived, who have made my time in Australia brilliant! They sorted out my accommodation- which is great. I am staying with other Sport Lived applicants whilst coaching tennis at a local Grammar School to a Year 7 team and a Year 11 team 4/5 days a week on a part time basis. This allows me to earn some money, but also means that I don’t spend all my time working! Sport Lived also provides you with a programme co-ordinator that helps you settle in and sorts out potential new jobs, a bank account, a new phone and answers any questions that you might have. I left England in January and have been staying in Melbourne for 10 weeks and have visited the Australia Open (we managed to sneak into the Rod Laver court), watched Australia beat India in the Cricket at MCG where there were 90,000 people! Visited the Eureka Sky Tower which has the highest viewpoint in the southern hemisphere, been to the famous Telstra Dome to watch an Asian Champions League match (although it did remind me of watching Forest) and I've done a load of other awesome things since I’ve been in Melbourne, even just chilling out on the beach on a Sunday in 30 degree heat is great! I just thought that if you have any tennis players or even cricket/rugby players that are contemplating taking a gap year I would strongly recommend them going through Sport Lived as they will have a great time!
Thanks
Ben Barclay
P.S good luck in the Nestle and Glanville cups!”
