Travel and Visa for Australia
If you would like to work during your time in Australia you will need to apply for an Australian Working Holiday Visa. Your Australia Working Holiday Visa permits you to live and work in Australia for up to 12 months but you may only work for the same employer for a maximum of 6 months. To be eligible for an Australian Working Holiday Visa, you must have a British passport and be aged between 18-30 at the time of your application. All Working Holiday applications must be made outside of Australia.
If you do not wish to obtain paid employment in Australia, you can obtain an Australian Tourist Visa. This type of visa is valid for 12 months from the date it is granted and allows multiple entries. You can only stay in Australia for a maximum period of 3 months (90 days) at any one time within the 12 months your visa is valid.
If you do not wish to obtain paid employment in Australia but like to remain within the country for more than 3 months during a single visit, then you can apply for an Australian Six Month or an Australian 12 Month Tourist Visa.
