Play Basketball in Australia

Sport Lived can arrange for you to play basketball in Australia.  We organise for people to play basketball in all the main cities in Australia from March – August.  We also run an 8 week basketball programme to Brisbane during July and August ideal for university students or those not taking a gap year. 

In each city in Australia we have affiliations with excellent basketball clubs.  Most clubs are involved in competitions where matches are played between March and August.  There are usually 2-3 training sessions per week with matches being played both at the weekends and on nights during the week.

The clubs where we organise people to join offer a high standard of coaching, often from former state and international players.  Regular club social events are also organised throughout the season. 

During your time playing basketball in Australia you will stay in 4 star city centre apartments.  You’ll live with people playing basketball and other sports including hockey, netball, rugby and football.  Living in the city means you’ll be near nightlife, places where you can work and close to public transport making it easy for you to get to your club to attend training and matches. 

Sport Lived employ staff in each city who are available 24/7 throughout your programme who organise regular social events including fancy dress parties, BBQs and nights out at top sporting events.

You will also receive a hand book which has lots of useful information e.g. how to open a bank account, get a mobile phone, tax form, doctors etc.  These are distributed at the pre departure briefing which is held approximately 6 weeks prior to your departure
