Coach Gymnastics in Australia

Sport Lived can organise for you to coach gymnastics in schools in Australia.  We run programmes to Melbourne between October and December, January and March and April and June.

During your coaching programme you will take gymnastics sessions during the week for the duration of a school term.  Coaches get between 10 and 15 hours of work per week and are paid between £7 and £12 per hour. Coaching sessions are usually held between 3-6pm Monday – Thursday and between 8am - 12pm on Saturday mornings. 

You will live in 4 star apartments with people coaching gymnastics and other sports including tennis, rowing and swimming.   Most people stay in 2 bedroom apartments and all Sport Lived participants stay in the same complex.

We recommend that people interested in coaching gymnastics in Australia obtain a British Gymnastics Level 1 Assistant Coach Award in Rhythmic Gymnastics. You will need to obtain a First Aid qualification.  We recommend that people obtain a basic First Aid qualification from an organisation such as the St John’s Ambulance. 

Please Note:    If you are unable to obtain a gymnastics coaching or First Aid qualification prior to you departure please let us know.   Some schools are happy to employ people provided they have coaching experience.   We can also enrol people on a coaching and First Aid course when you arrive in Australia.
