Gymnastics in Australia

Sport Lived can arrange for you to undertake a gymnastics programme in Australia.  The clubs where our gymnasts join are in the main cities in Australia – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.  Most of our programmes run from March – late August, however do organise an 8 week programme to Brisbane during July and August.    

In each city we have affiliations with excellent gymnastic clubs which been carefully selected for their excellent coaching, facilities and top social scenes.  Generally the clubs we have affiliations with have lots of members who can accommodate all levels of gymnast.  Clubs usually have 2-3 training sessions during the week and compete at invitational masters and external competitions at the weekends.    

You will live in 4 star city centre apartments.  You’ll live with gymnasts and people playing other sports including hockey, netball, rugby and football.  Living in the city means you’ll be near nightlife, places where you can work and public transport so it’s easy for you to get to your club to attending training and competitions. 

In each city Sport Lived employ staff who are available 24/7 throughout your programme.  They will show you how to travel from your accommodation to your club, open a bank account and generally help you to get settled in your new home city.  They will also organise regular social events.

You will receive a hand book which has lots of useful information e.g. how to open a bank account, get a mobile phone, apply for a tax file number etc.  These are distributed at the pre departure briefing which is held approximately 6 weeks prior to your departure
