- Exploring Argentina with planned activities
- Exciting gap year & summer programmes

Get a taste of genuine Argentine life with a Tennis Experience programme. You’ll play loads of tennis and our pre-planned activities will introduce you to the sights, sounds and tastes of Argentina.

You’ll be based at a local Argentine tennis club, where you’ll train alongside other Sport Lived participants receiving expert tuition from local coaches. We can arrange for you to join a tennis club in Rosario where you can integrate into club life and experience Argentine culture first hand.
Accommodation is shared with other Sport Lived participants and you’ll live together in either a city centre hostel/lodge (Standard Accommodation) or in a plush 4-star apartment (Premium Accommodation). Optional Spanish classes will help you to learn or improve your Spanish and a Sport Lived mentor is on-hand 24/7 for support throughout your stay.
Argentina is a country with a real passion for tennis and regularly produces top players such as 2009 US Open winner Juan Martin del Potro and the legendary Guillermo Vilas who won four Grand Slams during the 70s and 80s. As soon as you get settled in Rosario you’ll see why the country enjoys such remarkable success. All the clubs we work with have fantastic facilities, competitive players and world class coaches.
You’ll spend around six hours a week training alongside other Sport Lived participants at a local tennis club with top-notch facilities. You’ll get tuition from expert coaches who will put you through your paces and work on all aspects of your game.
We can also arrange for you to join a tennis club in Rosario which will give you the chance to put all that expert coaching into practice, taking on and hopefully beating local players!
Pack up your racquet and get ready to hit the courts of South America!
All our programmes in Argentina include the following events and activities:

Live the experience of being part of Argentina’s passionate football fans. You’ll watch either "Rosario Central" or "Newell's Old Boys" and sample a live match atmosphere first-hand. After the match, we’ll celebrate victory or commiserate defeat with a typical Argentinean asado.

Immerse yourself in your new home Rosario by visiting the main points of interest that make up this vibrant city. You’ll visit Rosario’s different neighborhoods, see the beautiful parks, fairs, markets and cultural bars in the center of the city. After the visit, we’ll eat in one of the city’s characteristic grills and then show you around the best night spots in Rosario.

During the first week of your programme, we’ll arrange introductory drinks in the city for you and your fellow Sport Lived participants. Your mentor will co-ordinate arrangements and show you around local bars and nightspots to get your programme off to a flying start.

What better place to learn tango than the country where it was born? You’ll have a great time taking tango and salsa lessons at one of the best dance schools in Rosario. We will also arrange a visit to a Tango restaurant where you’ll enjoy dinner and show at "La casa del tango", a prestigious local restaurant that offers live music and tango shows.

Enjoy a beautiful day on a river island. After crossing the broad Paraná River, we’ll explore one of the most attractive islands where you’ll enjoy a traditional "asado" (Argentine barbeque) lunch.
UK citizens can obtain a 90 day tourist visa on arrival in Argentina. If your trip is likely to extend beyond 90 days, you will need to apply for a visa extension. You can apply for an extension whilst in Argentina at the British embassy in Buenos Aires. All Sport Lived programmes to Argentina last for less than 90 days.
For more information see the Travel & Visa section in the Need to Know area of our site.
No worries (“No se preocupe”)! You’ll have a local mentor available throughout your stay who speaks fluent English and can help with any issues. All of the coaches who take sports training sessions speak fluent English. In addition, you will be living and training with other Sport Lived participants.
We recommend that participants enroll on the optional Spanish courses. As well as being a fantastic addition to your CV, learning Spanish will enhance your experience in Argentina. Plus you’ll be able to chat-up the locals whilst out on the town.
